By combining data on smartphone penetration and the number of middle class adults in each country (those who could afford iOS or Android devices), analytics firm Flurry determined that the countries with the biggest market upside for app developers were China, the U.S., India, Japan, Brazil and Germany.

When they added in data related to future potential, the company concluded that the top ten addressable mobile markets included the U.S., China, Japan, India, Germany, Brazil, Italy, France, the U.K. and Russia.
