Freelance Programming Gigs on the Rise

Freelancer.com has published a list of the fastest growing job titles for the most recent quarter, and software development jobs are all over the list. Mobile development and HTML5 jobs, in particular, saw big increases in the fourth quarter of 2011. Development titles with big increases in demand included the following:

• C++ development -- up 38 percent
• Java development -- up 36 percent
• C development -- up 27 percent
• .NET development -- up 27 percent
• C# development -- up 20 percent
• HTML5 development -- up 41 percent
• Android jobs -- up 33 percent
• iPhone jobs -- up 18 percent
• iPad jobs -- up 22 percent
