Microsoft has officially released Visual Studio 2015, the latest version of its flagship integrated development environment (IDE). The most notable change is the IDE's vastly improved supported for cross-platform development, including support for both Android and iOS development. It supports multiple languages, including C#, C++, Visual Basic, Java, F#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript and SQL. It also includes the new Roslyn compiler, an improved debugger and better collaboration features, including Git support.
At the same time, Microsoft also released version 4.6 of the .NET framework. It includes new 64-bit and Universal app compilers, as well as improved garbage collection.
