Using GDI+ in ASP.NET Web Applications, Part I : Page 4

GDI+ is generally considered a Windows technology. However, some of the new GDI+ features make this technology an excellent choice even for Web applications, enabling developers to generate images, graphs, dynamic buttons, banners, and much more on-the-fly.

Rendering Graphical Buttons
One maintenance nightmare that occurs on many Web sites is rendering graphical buttons. Figure 4 and Figure 5 show graphical buttons I use on my personal site (http://www.MarkusEgger.com). You can probably already imagine how this is done. Listing 3 shows the detailed code (this time in Visual Basic .NET).
