Microsoft has confirmed CEO Satya Nadella’s comments that the first version of the HoloLens augmented reality device will be released “within the Windows 10 timeframe,” in other words, within the next year. A company spokesperson said, “We are seeing many great ideas coming from developers, and great interest coming from enterprises. When Microsoft HoloLens launches, we will focus on those audiences.”
Enterprise application development teams won’t be the only early testers for the device; NASA astronauts are also expected to test the wearable on the International Space Station.
