JetBrains has announced availability of version 13 of its flagship IDE, IntelliJ IDEA. One of the biggest changes in the update is its inclusion of features Google developed for Android Studio. The changes will make it easier for mobile development firms to use the IDE when writing code for Android devices. The IDE also now supports Java EE 7.

Other notable features in the release include a Spring tool window; improved support for Git, Mercurial and Subversion; better support for Groovy and Scala; Web development tools providing JavaScript code coverage, Stylus and Compass support; and a new set of cloud development tools for popular PaaSes.
