Survey Reveals Interest in Windows Phone, BlackBerry

Despite the fact that Windows Phone and BlackBerry account for very small slices of the mobile market, a new survey reveals that mobile developers are still somewhat interested in both platforms. VisionMobile’s “Developer Economics 2013” study found that 47 percent of mobile development professional surveyed plan to build Windows Phone apps. And 15 percent plan to release BlackBerry 10 apps.

Of course, Android and iOS still dominate developer mindshare. HTML is the third most popular mobile development platform.

The study also found that iOS developers make the most money, and that those who target more than one mobile platform make more than those who write apps for just one OS.
