Windows 10 Universal App Store Officially Opens for Business

Ahead of the official release of Windows 10 later this month, Microsoft has opened the doors on its Universal App Store. One of the company’s selling points for Windows 10 is the ability for developers to create and sell universal apps that will work on any device. In keeping with that promise, the new store features apps for smartphones, tablets, PCs and Xbox game consoles all in one place.

However, the new app store doesn’t have quite all the features most users might expect. While users can browse through apps on the store, they can’t download anything from the Universal App Store yet. For that, they’ll need to open the separate Windows Store from a Windows device.
