Microsoft Azure Enables Linux Migration

Microsoft Azure has announced two improvements to migration capabilities for its cloud computing service. First, the Azure Migration Accelerator now supports Linux. “Today, we are excited to add support for the migration of Linux physical and virtual machines to Azure; this functionality will further bolster the support for heterogeneity in MA [Migration Accelerator],” announced Srinath Vasireddy , a Microsoft principal lead program manager.

Second, it is rolling out Azure Data Center Migration Solution (ADCMS), a new tool for moving workloads and data from one Azure data center to another. Microsoft currently offer nineteen different Azure regions.
