Salesforce has launched a new product designed to make it easier for companies to set up their own internal app stores. Called AppExchange Store Builder, it’s based on the same technology Salesforce uses for its AppExchange app store.
End users will be able to access stores created with the tool from their mobile devices, PCs or other Web-connected devices. Developers can populate stores with any apps, not just those created on Salesforce’s platform. And the Store Builder also includes analytics capabilities so enterprise application development teams can track the performance and usage of their apps.
Pricing is free for companies with a Salesforce license. Organizations without a Salesforce license can use the AppExchange Store Builder for $5 per user per month.
