With Rational Method Composer you can jump-start projects and apply proven practices almost immediately. Rational Method Composer includes a Process Library that contains a broad array of process guidance to ensure development runs smoother, projects are able to start up faster and team members are able to become productive quickly. The Process Library contains out-of-the-box processes that support various types of projects across the enterprise, including:

• Agile, small, medium, or large projects that require more process formality
• IT initiatives and technologies such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) or packaged application development, maintenance projects, DoDAF, J2EE and .NET

Tailoring the process to your needs is easy. Rational Method Composer includes easy-to-use form-based tools for authoring, configuring, and viewing the process. There is no need for Unified Modeling Language (UML) skills to define content and relationships.
