Microsoft Ramps Up European Cloud Computing Efforts

According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, the company has spent $3 billion, including $1 billion in 2016 alone, to build up its cloud computing infrastructure in Europe. As part of that initiative, the company plans to open new data centers in France next year.

Currently, Nadella is on a tour of European cities with Microsoft President Brad Smith. In conjunction with that tour, he company has released a book called “A Cloud for Global Good,” which makes public policy recommendations related to cloud computing.
