Building the Right Environment to Support AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning

Scheduled Walkthroughs and Reviews

Successful development groups implement regularly scheduled walkthroughs and reviews. I have found three common types:

Code Walkthrough - At various points during the development life cycle, the developer or project lead will invite individuals familiar with the project (designers, tech writers, consultants) to review the project as it stands. This will ensure adherence to the design and premise of the project.

Code Review - After a project is complete, review source code with the development staff for adherence to standards, and functionality. This is a great forum to share knowledge, and to correct bugs before they are released. Usually weekly.

Maintenance Review - Typically handled by quality departments, this review focuses on changes made to the existing code base to ensure original design intentions are not lost with the set of changes being made. Usually weekly.
