Display Read-Only Data on Your Web Pages

You can do a lot of cool things using Microsoft's Remote Data Services (RDS). For example, have you ever wanted to display a field from a database table read-only in a table cell? The <TD> tag does not have a datafld property to bind to. A simple answer is to place a <DIV> tag in the table cell and bind to the <DIV> tags datafld property. This solution is perfect to display read-only data on your Web pages.

<TABLE datasrc="#MyDC">
	<TR>
		<TD><DIV id="cell1" datafld="field1"></DIV></TD>
		<TD><DIV id="cell2" datafld="field2"></DIV></TD>
		<TD><DIV id="cell3" datafld="field3"></DIV></TD>
	</TR>
</TABLE>
