Find Methods, Events, and Properties Using VID's Object Browser

You don't need a lot of documentation to use objects in your Active Server Pages. Because objects are self-documenting, you can usually find the information you need about their methods, events, and properties using the Object Browser. The trick is that you have to add an object to the browser before you can see it. From VID's View menu, click Other Windows > Object Browser. In the Object Browser, click the button for which the tooltip reads Select Current Packages/Libraries. On the Select Packages/Libraries dialog box, click Add. Then locate and check the box next to Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.0 Library. Click OK and then OK again. Finally, click the objects to see the ADO methods, properties, and events and the corresponding syntax.
