I have a much simpler form for the IsAlphaNum function:
Public Function IsAlphaNum(ByVal sString _
As String) As Boolean
If Not sString Like "*[!0-9A-Za-z]*" _
Then IsAlphaNum = True
End Function

You can modify this function for other conditions. Simply put the acceptable characters
