Object Was Unloaded Error

Question:
When I try to unload some forms with database controls on them while in the Form_Load event, VB tries to show the form again and issues the statement 'Object was unloaded'.

Answer:
You can't unload a form from within the Form_Load event. If you do need to cancel the Form_Load event, set a constant within the Form_Load event, and then check it in the Form_Activate event. If the constant is set, you can unload the window from within the Form_Activate event with no problem.
