Checking for File Extension

Question:
What's wrong with this code :
if file1.filename="*.bmp" then picture1.LoadPicture(file1.filename)

Answer:
I'm guessing you're trying to check the selected filename to see if it ends in .BMP, right? The problem is that VB doesn't do pattern matching like you are trying. What you should do instead is something like this:

If Right$(UCase$(file1.filename), 4) = ".BMP" Then Picture1.LoadPicture(file1.filename)
