Breaking String into Bytes

Question:
How can I convert a string with three individual bytes of data to different bytes? I am sending Data1,Data2,Data3 as String and I want to receive string and convert back to Data1,Data2,Data3.

Answer:
What about using the string manip. functions like Left$, Mid$, and Right$? I think those will do what you want them to. If you combine them with the Val function to convert the characters to numbers, I think that will take care of your need. If each individual piece of data is more than a single character in the string you might want to think about putting the string together with a separator character (such as a comma) and then parsing the string out into the individual data pieces using the Instr function.
