Changing List Box Font

Question:
How an I display columnar data in a native HTML list box a la tag. If that doesn't change the font, then you won't be able to do it. This is because the drop down box is supplied by the browser and the operating system. The browser takes care of selecting the system font used for the control and probably cannot be overridden, since fonts are specified at the system level for those types of things. (i.e. Control Panel in Win95 sets fonts for entire OS)
