Multithreading

Question:
Is there a way for delphi 1.0 to have some kind of multithreading (enabling the user to do something else while waiting for a report being generated or printed)?

Answer:
No there isn't but you can _simulate_ it in a loop with a call to Application.ProcessMessages like so:

while Condition do begin
  Application.ProcessMessages;
  ...do some stuff
end;
This is really what's called a "yield" where the loop yields momentarily to allow the window to accept and send messages.
