Eliminating the Enter Key Beep

Question:
I hear a "beep" when I press the ENTER key in a text box. How can I disable it?

Answer:
This is a common problem with the TextBox control. To eliminate the beeping, add the following code to the KeyPress event of the TextBox control: Sub TextBox1_KeyPress(KeyAscii As Integer) If KeyAscii = 13 Then KeyAscii = 0 End Sub Obviously, if you have a multiline TextBox, you don't want to have this code in place. The beeping only occurs when you have a single line TextBox, which is the default type.
