Question:
How can I show the tables in an Interbase database in listview or filelist? (like the database explorer)

Answer:
The only way to do that is as follows: 1) Create an alias that points to the Interbase database. 2) In your program you'll want to use the TSession method GetTableNames (you can look that up in the online help). Hint: the last parameter is a TStrings type, so you can pass an Items property of a listbox into it. Here's an example of how to use the call:

Session.GetTableNames('MyIBDatabase', '', False, True, Listbox1.Items);
This was taken directly from a program that I wrote that lists tables from a SQL Server database, but it'll work for any Server based database.
