Question:
Is the following notification error an NT or an Oracle problem?

nt.stp(633):
permission_denied while copying key software\oracle\oracle_homes
How how can I fix it?

Answer:
This sounds like a NT error (although it may have been created by Oracle). Try going to the \software\oracle\oracle_homes (under either HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and/or HKEY_CURRENT_USER), highlight it, and click the Security/Permissions menu options. Make sure both your current userID and the system account have both read/write access to this key and all its subkeys.
