FoxPro vs. Access

I'm planning on using Visual Basic as a front end, but cannot decide on Access or FoxPro as the back end. Any big differences between the two?

I am not very familiar with Access. The marketing suggests that Access is for applications with smaller databases. Fox is excellent at handling large databases.

If you are familiar with VB, many samples demonstrate integrating Access with VB. Access's syntax is very similar to VB, which may be a factor in getting your product up and running sooner (fewer languages to learn).

If you are considering n-tier development, Fox may be more of a choice for you, because (I believe) Access cannot create ActiveX server objects.
