Manipulating the Browser's Back Button

Question:
I created a Web page that uses ASP to access a database on the server and return data to a client browser. While the data is accessed the client can't use his browser's back button to go back to a previous page because the previous page was also an ASP page that was dynamically loaded. I can post my own "BACK" link that uses the session object to get this to work. Is there a way I can get the browser's back button to work also?

Answer:
You can modify the History object by using the JavaScript location.replace function. It works okay in Netscape. However, it is very unpredictable in behavior and does not work efficiently in Internet Explorer. You may need to access some JavaScript sites to learn more about the function.
