Convert a Number to a String

How do I convert an integer/float type into a string?

Converting numbers to strings is much easier than you think. Because JavaScript is an untyped language, the interpreter will do its best to use the number as a number or as a string whenever appropriate without you lifting a (virtual) finger. When you try to add a number to a string, the number will be implicitly converted to a string also and the two will be concatenated. In this case, the variable b is set to the string value "The number is 5".

var a = 5;
var b = "The number is " + a;
