Animated Image Bitmaps

Question:
How do I animate an image in PowerBuilder? Someone told me I would have to split the gif into frames and then set up a timer.

Answer:
You can use the picture control to load your images in sequence. Place the picture control off the visible portion of the window. Then after each bitmap has been loaded use the draw function of the picture control to draw the image in the window. By swapping the image and drawing into the window you can achieve flicker-free animation.
