Informix to SQL 7

Question:
How do I convert Informix Database to SQL Server 7, or even to Access?

Answer:
First, you need to create the identical database in SQL7 or Access (same field types, same field names, same sizes, etc.). Then, use the following command to unload the data from Informix:

UNLOAD to filename.unl select * from tablename
This creates a pipe-delimited (|) ASCII file that can be loaded into another database.
