Restoring an Exchange Server

Question:
The BDC was the exchange server, and now it can't see itself as BDC or a server. It shows on the SERVER MANAGER as a workstation. We have a buckup tap, so we decided to reinstall NT server and try to retrieve the exchange data. How can we restore exchange priv.edb and pup.edu to a different sever?

Answer:
Your best bet is to reinstall the NT server just as it was before---same name and configuration. Then you should be able to restore the tape to that server without difficulty.
