Combining Text Fields

Question:
How do I combine multiple text fields into a single field? For example, combining someone's first, middle, and last name into a field called "full name". I've done a search on combining fields and other variations but found nothing.

Answer:
SQL Server concatenates fields using the + sign. Try this:

select au_fname + ' ' + au_lname as 'Full Name'
from authors
