Automate E-mail with VBScript

If you have Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) installed with Internet Information Server (IIS), you can automate e-mail through VBScript. The Collaboration Data Objects for Windows NT Server (CDONTS) component can be automated for e-mail:

Set objMail = CreateObject("CDONTS.Newmail")
objMail.From = "techsupport@xyz.com"
objMail.To = "mary@aol.com"
objMail.Subject = "Welcome"
objMail.Body = "You have been added to our automated tech support system. Thank you."
objMail.Send
Set objMail = Nothing
