As part of Microsoft's plan to open source .NET, the .NET Foundation has announced that it will be moving to a new governance model. The group is adding an advisory council, and interested developers are invited to join the discussion and send in council nominations.
When it was first established, the .NET Foundation was in charge of 24 open source projects. That roster has grown to more than 30 projects in recent months, including Orchard, Nuget, Kudu and the ASP.NET Ajax Library.
