Bluemix Gets New Analytics, Data Warehousing Capabilities

IBM has announced that it is expanding its Bluemix platform as a service with a new analytics service. IBM Streaming Analytics is currently in beta and provides the ability to easily add analysis and visualization capabilities to enterprise applications.

In addition, the company updating its dashDB data warehousing service with massively parallel processing (MPP) capabilities. That should speed performance and improve scalability. In addition, the data warehouse now has better support for Oracle and Netezza.

IBM says that 15,000 new users sign up for Bluemix every week, and that the PaaS has doubled its number of users since May. Bluemix currently includes more than 100 tools and services.
