GitHub, maker of the popular Git open source revision control system, has just released version 2.0 of its Enterprise tool, and experts say the release adds a number of features that will be of interest to organizations. For example, it offers better SAML and LDAP support, which improve its ability to use internal authentication systems, and it adds high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
In addition, GitHub Enterprise 2.0 is also available as an Amazon Machine Image for running on Amazon’s cloud computing service, a capability requested by many customers.
GitHub Enterprise costs $20 per user per month.
