Google Launches Mobile Backend Starter

The new tool offers everything mobile development firms need to set up the backend for their apps in Google's cloud.

In order to make it easier to use its App Engine cloud computing service, Google has unveiled a new "Mobile Backend Starter." It includes everything mobile development firms need to deploy a new app, including server space, a client library and built-in support for Google Authentication. Features include cloud data storage, messaging support, push notifications and continuous queries.

According to the Google blog post on the topic, the Mobile Backend Starter "is a one-click deployable, complete mobile backend that allows you to reap the benefits of a cloud backend with none of the headaches."
