HANA Comes to Azure

At SAP’s Sapphire Now conference, SAP and Microsoft announced that SAP’s HANA in-memory database is now certified to run on Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service. Enterprises will be able to run dev, test and productions workloads utilizing HANA on Azure. Azure competitor Amazon Web Services already supported HANA.

In addition, the two companies plan to integrate other SAP applications, including Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, and SuccessFactors, with Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud-based office productivity service. They will also integrate SAP Fiori mobile apps with Microsoft Intune.
