Microsoft has purchased Parature, an enterprise software vendor, and plans to integrate its customer service knowledgebase into Dynamics CRM. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but TechCrunch pegs the purchase price at $100 million, citing “sources close to the deal.”
Parature offers its software on a SaaS basis and currently has more than 70 million users, up from 35 million in 2011. It was founded in 2000 as “Cyracle” but changed its name in 2003.
