Much of the coverage of iOS 7 has centered on the operating system’s new look, but the new mobile platform also offers a number of additions, changes and improvements for developers. The release includes six new frameworks:

  1. Sprite Kit
  2. Game Controller
  3. Multi-Peer Connectivity
  4. JavaScriptCore
  5. Media Accessibility
  6. Safari Services

In addition, Apple has enhanced the frameworks for the User Interface Kit, Multitasking, Maps and Games.

Along with iOS 7, Apple also unveiled Xcode 5. It includes improvements to the user interface, a new test navigator, gauges for the debugger and an enhanced version editor.
