Boston (the hardware vendor, not the city) wants to make it easier for enterprises to use its microservers, which run on ARM-based chips instead of x86 processors. To that end, it is rolling out a new offering it calls ARM as a Service, or AaaS.
The cloud computing offering is essentially an infrastructure as a service that runs on ARM-based servers. It’s aimed at helping developers test out how their apps will perform on microservers. That should ease the transition for companies that are considering deploying microservers within their data centers.
