CWJobs.co.uk reports that listings for Java jobs increased 10 percent in the last quarter, making it the fastest growing IT skill. Agile and ASP postings climbed 9 percent, and jobs asking for familiarity with Microsoft’s .NET climbed 7 percent.
On the other side of the board, postings for SQL jobs fell 5 percent. However, the online jobs board still lists 19,875 SQL jobs, making it the skill with the most mentions overall. Similarly, the number of C postings also declined, but it still had enough mentions to make it the third most sought-after skill.
