Developers who offer apps targeted at corporate customers or educational institutions will now find it easier to sell iOS apps to international audiences. Apple has announced that it is extending its App Store Volume Purchasing Program to nine new countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain and the United Kingdom. Previously, the program, which provides discounts to organizations that buy apps in bulk, was only available in the U.S.
Apple has also announced a media event for September 12. The company is expected to debut the iPhone 5 then.
