Box, which is best known for its cloud storage services, has updated its development platform that allows developers to integrate Box services into their applications. The company revamped its developer console, introduced new tools for building Web interfaces and added support for new content types, annotations and watermarking. In addition, Box’s JavaScript SDK now supports HD video, 3D models, VR files, 360-degree images, and 360-degree videos.
Box also announced that it is teaming up with Amazon Web Services on a new startup incubator program that will offer free cloud computing services to young businesses.
According to the company, 80,000 developers use Box’s development platform.
