According to a new report from Good Technology, 132 million people worldwide use their smartphones for work. The company predicts that total will climb to 174 million by the end of this year and 328 million by 2017.
As work use of mobile devices has increased, so has enterprise mobile development and app use. The company says enterprise app activations increased 54 percent in the most recent quarter. “What we get most excited about are the kinds of applications enterprises are building themselves,” said Good Technology CEO Christy Wyatt.
The report also indicated that 54 percent of new enterprise device activations were iPhones, compared to 26 percent that were Android devices.
