Microsoft Launches Azure Service Fabric

Microsoft has announced a new platform as a service offering it calls Azure Service Fabric. It provides developers with access to the microservices and infrastructure they need to create scalable cloud apps. The company says Azure Service Fabric is “a developer framework that intrinsically understands the available infrastructure resources and needs of applications, enabling automatically updating, self-healing behavior that is essential to delivering highly available and durable services at hyper-scale.”

While Microsoft has announced the new cloud computing service, it isn’t actually available yet. The company says it will release a developer preview and an SDK at next week’s BUILD conference.
