Microsoft, Toshiba Partner on IoT

At the Computex conference in Taiwan, Microsoft and Toshiba announced that they would be partnering together on a range of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and services. The companies expect to release a complete offering for the transportation and logistics industry, from devices to services, including state-of-the-art hardware, such as an onboard video recorder than can also track vehicle data and analyze driver behavior,” Microsoft said. The devices will be based on Windows 10 and integrate with the Azure cloud computing service.

Also at the conference, several other companies showed off Windows 10 devices. They included an HP 2-in-1, a Foxconn compact Windows 10 desktop, an MSI gaming laptop with built-in eye tracking and Crestron’s Pyng home automation system.
