Red Hat has released two new updates to its open source enterprise development tools: Red Hat Developer Toolset 3.1 and Red Hat Software Collections 2.
Developer Toolset 3.1 includes GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) 4.9.2 and Eclipse 4.4.2. “Across the open hybrid cloud, developers seek to leverage the latest and greatest development tools, but must balance this with the business? requirements for stable and reliable applications and systems,” said Jim Totton, a Red Hat vice president. “Red Hat Developer Toolset 3.1 helps bridge these needs, delivering developer innovation while retaining a stable foundation for the creation and support of mission-critical applications, helping to bring forth the next generation of enterprise applications.”
Software Collections 2 includes a variety of open source Web development tools, including programming languages, tools and databases.
