TicWatch Update

Mobvoi is launching an overdue update to Wear OS 4 for its TicWatch Pro 5 series, right as Wear OS 5 prepares for a rollout on Pixel and Galaxy devices. Announced on its blog today, Mobvoi stated that Wear OS 4 will be coming to the TicWatch Pro 5 and TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro in phases over the coming weeks. Starting in early September, all TicWatch Pro 5 devices currently running Wear OS 3.5 will begin receiving the Wear OS 4 update.

The rollout will be phased, varying by region and device. Users will receive a notification directly on their watch when the update is available for installation. TicWatch Pro 5 owners will find several new features in the Wear OS 4 update.

These include Backup & Restore and Phone Transfer options that are also available on Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch.
