Amazon has acquired enterprise IoT startup 2lemetry for an undisclosed sum. The company is not providing details about the purchase, but an Amazon spokesperson said, “We can confirm that Amazon has acquired 2lemetry, and we look forward to continuing to support 2lemetry customers.”
2lemetry, which was founded in 2011, offers IoT middleware for enterprises. Its offerings include a platform, API, documentation, tools and support for IoT developers, and it had already integrated much of its technology with Amazon’s cloud computing services. Amazon has been promoting its cloud as a service provider for IoT.
