Microsoft has announced that it will begin selling a version of its HoloLens augmented reality device designed for developers in the first quarter of next year. HoloLens Developer Edition will cost $3,000, and it will be offered only to qualified developers and enterprises. Those who are interested in purchasing it can sign up on the Microsoft website.
“Whether it’s for productivity, health care, design, or entertainment, HoloLens creates experiences that aren’t possible on any other device, or any other platform,” said Terry Myerson, executive vice president of Microsoft’s Windows and Devices group.
